Our story
How It All Began
Raised on Art
Growing up, the Fish Brothers were surrounded by art in their home. Their father, an art dealer and expert, filled their walls with quality pieces and their bookshelves with art books. This exposure taught them to appreciate and understand the value of art, both financially and aesthetically. They learned to look beyond surface-level appearances to appreciate the quality, style, and historical significance of each piece.

Beyond the Surface
As developers, the Fish Brothers applied these skills to their work. When evaluating neighborhoods, they look beyond their current state and envision their potential. By combining offices, galleries, restaurants, and boutique businesses, they’ve transformed rundown areas into vibrant hubs of street art. Their experience with art has given them a keen eye for potential and a passion for revitalizing neighborhoods.

Discovering Progresso Village
When the Fish Brothers came to Fort Lauderdale, researching for a hidden gem, they discovered Progresso Village—a rundown neighborhood with a neglected industrial area. They saw beyond the neglect and envisioned a thriving destination. Strategically located near the beach, downtown, Las Olas, and the airport, Progresso Village offered immense potential.

Vision to Reality
The brothers began assembling adjacent properties and parking lots, bringing their vision to life. Thrive Art District was born—featuring a high-end outdoor gallery with murals, unique walkways, and pedestrian passageways. Music Square, a courtyard, and Art Square, all connected by distinctive walkways. A curated range of boutique businesses, galleries, and food establishments.
