Christian Feneck

Christian Feneck is a Florida-based artist whose practice merges spatial experience and color into sculpturally painted environments. Drawing on his background in architecture, he explores visual perception as a way of understanding built space, using perspective, color relationships, and form to create works that blur the boundary between painting and architecture. His visual language also incorporates screentone patterns from architectural drawing and imagery from his personal history, building a sensorial sense of place across paintings, installations, and sculptural works.

Feneck studied architecture at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Design in Architecture in 2002 and a Master of Architecture in 2004. That training continues to shape his artistic approach, especially in the way he constructs space and uses color to alter how forms and contexts are perceived. His work has been shown widely in solo, group, and site-specific exhibitions, including presentations at Bailey Contemporary Arts, the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, FATVillage, ArtServe, and other South Florida venues.

His practice includes paintings, relief works, murals, installations, and collaborative projects, reflecting a sustained interest in how art can activate both space and perception. Feneck's work is also represented in notable public collections, including Harvard University, Virginia Commonwealth University, the University of Miami, the Ringling College of Art and Design, Print Center New York, Florida Atlantic University, and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
