Davel

DaveL, also known as David Lavernia, is a Cuban-American muralist, painter, and mural curator whose work is often inspired by the vibrant colors of South Florida. He started his first paintings while working at BC Surf + Sport at the age of 18, creating colorful compositions on the black grip tape of skateboards using paint pens. This led to numerous commissions, including his first mural in Wynwood in 2007.

From that point on, DaveL dedicated his art career to painting murals and canvases, taking his work across the United States and abroad. He has been a featured artist in magazine publications and has participated in brand activations, live painting events, art festivals, art classes, solo shows, and other creative programs. DaveL works with a variety of media, including acrylic, oil, spray paint, oil pastels, fiber, and mixed media.

His work spans multi-story wall murals, canvases, apparel, surfboards, skateboards, and more.
